OSHA and ADOSH Attorneys

Lang Thal King & Hanson lawyers are strong advocates for the rights of contractors and other employers in worker safety regulation.

When a jobsite accident or injury occurs, engaging an experienced administrative attorney from the outset can help you work through the process and reduce or avoid fines and criminal penalties. We can:

  • join you onsite,
  • interview workers and witnesses,
  • gather evidence,
  • guide you through the proper response procedures, and
  • serve as your buffer with government investigators and agencies.

If a citation is issued, we can help you prepare your defense and advocate for you throughout the administrative process, with the objective of mitigating the fine or dismissing the citation altogether.

REGULATORY LAW: Welcome to the Wild West of legal advocacy.

In contrast to the formality and relative order of a lawsuit, hearings before an administrative law judge are the Wild West of contested regulatory action. Outside the comfortable environment of trial court, even a top business litigator can quickly feel like a stranger in a strange land.

The proceedings are relatively informal, and the rules can be murky.

Combine those qualities with the fact that a regulatory agency has already determined your guilt, and you can quickly anticipate the value of being represented by an experienced attorney who knows the ropes, has good instincts, and can think on his feet and adapt quickly to unusual rulings and other developments.
